We are committed to helping women grow in their relationship with God and to encourage community with one another. We strive to love God by loving people.

WOV Team Descriptions and Ministry Opportunities

The following are the core beliefs of Fallbrook Church based on the foundational truths taught in the bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical doctrines.

We’re so excited to have you join us in serving through the Women of Virtue (WOV) Ministry! Thank you for your willingness to get involved—your heart to serve is truly a gift to our church family.
We have several amazing teams where you can use your gifts, such as:
Encouragement & Care Team – offering support through cards, calls, meals, and prayer
Special Events & Hospitality Team – helping with food, greeting, and creating a welcoming space
Decor & Atmosphere Team – using creativity to bring beauty and purpose to our events
Outreach & Missions Team – serving our community and organizing donation drives
Bible Study & Discipleship Team – helping coordinate studies and encourage spiritual growth
Welcome & New Member Team – helping women feel seen, connected, and supported

Bible Study Lead

Carolyn Carter | North Campus
Sharon Sweat | Cypress-Katy Campus

Oversees the annual and season Bible Studies.
Recruits, trains, and encourages the Bible Study volunteers.
Maintains regular contact with all Bible Study volunteers, coaching them through situations as they arise.
Reviews Bible Study materials.
Creates a schedule of Bible study classes.
Serves on the WOV Leadership Team and attends meetings.

Book Club

Kim Newell, Jordan Sweat

Oversees the Book Club Program.
Choose six (6) books to discuss each year with WOV Director’s approval.
Creates a book club calendar for discussion.
Contacts book club participants of meeting dates and times
Serves on the WOV Leadership Team and attends meetings

Mentoring

Michelle Woodhouse

Oversees mentoring program.
Recruits, trains, and encourages Mentors.
Prayerfully oversees the pairing of each mentor/mentee.
Provides guidance to mentors/mentees as needed.
Shares the praises, needs, and prayer requests of the mentoring program at Leadership Team meetings.
Serves on the WOV Leadership Team and attends meetings

Decor & Atmosphere

Nikki Butler, Tikara Young

Creatively and resourcefully provides decorations for women’s ministry events.
Creates and displays decorations which complement the event theme and purpose.
Recruits, trains, and encourages Decoration Team members.
Practices good stewardship of decorating funds for events.
Maintains supply of re-useable decorative items (vases, candles, mirrors, etc.).
Serves on the WOV Leadership Team and attends meetings.

Missions & Outreach

WOV Team

Plans outreach & mission opportunities / events for the women of the church.
Recruits, trains, and encourages other members of the Missions Team.
Coordinates the collection and distribution of any donations (food, clothing, or otherwise).
Supports ongoing mission projects of the church.
Serves on the WOV Leadership Team and attends meetings.

Hospitality & Special Events

Lisa Foster, Tasha Burnice

Creates a warm, welcoming atmosphere at all Women’s Ministry events, with a focus on the unique needs of women.
Trains and leads a team of greeters and hostesses to ensure every attendee feels seen and valued.
Organizes refreshments for all events, including planning menus, delegating responsibilities, and overseeing set-up, replenishment, and clean-up.
Recruits, trains, and encourages members of the Special Events Team, fostering a culture of service and excellence.
Collaborates with the WOV Director to plan event details such as dates, locations, speakers, and themes.
Coordinates with the WOV Leadership Team on logistics including publicity, registration, decorations, and prayer coverage.
Delegates event planning tasks to team members as needed to ensure smooth execution.
Faithfully prays for WOV events and attendees, covering each gathering in intentional intercession.
Serves on the WOV Leadership Team and actively participates in team meetings and planning sessions.

Encouragement & Care

Barbara Cockrell

Collaborates with the SIT Ministry and WOV Director to organize and provide meals for women experiencing life events such as the birth of a child, illness, or loss of a loved one.
Coordinates ongoing encouragement efforts including sending cards, making phone calls, and distributing blessing bags to uplift and support women in need.
Recruits, trains, and motivates members of the Encouragement Team to serve with compassion and consistency.
Sends personalized cards to celebrate birthdays and anniversaries of Fallbrook Church staff and pastoral team, strengthening the culture of honor and appreciation.
Maintains a confidential list of women in need of encouragement and follows up regularly to ensure continued care and connection.
Develops seasonal care initiatives (e.g., holiday outreach, hospital visits, prayer circles) that extend love and support beyond events.
Leads the team in praying intentionally for women on the care list, covering each need in faith and unity.
Actively serves on the WOV Leadership Team and attends planning meetings to align care initiatives with the overall mission of the ministry.

Next Steps Team

Social Media

WOV Team

Recruits, trains, and organizes new member team.
Implements a new member procedure for women’s ministry – may involve personal invitations, phone calls, cards, etc.
Works to connect new members with the women’s ministry and other church resources.
Serves on the WOV Leadership Team and attends meetings.

Anna Henix

Responsible for keeping information current on WOV approved social media sites.
Assist WOV Leadership Team with various social media posting and support.
Serves on the WOV Leadership Team and attends meetings as needed.
